The Hobbit Party!
My in-laws have done it again with an amazing Hobbit-themed party, complete with attaching a hobbit door on the front of their house! (It was also the same day as my birthday! w00t!) The still photos used in this vid were taken by Briana Lamb and Caitlin Wert respectively. Thanks, guys!

I WON NANOWRIMO!
Yaaaay I won! I’ve been posting my victory all over Twitter, FB, G+ and Tumblr pages, and I just wanted to post something here. I’ve tried doing National Novel Writing Month for years, but I’ve always been too busy and never got very far. Also, I wasn’t going in all the way. I wanted to continue work on my novels I’d already started, and just write all new stuff for it. But it just never worked somehow, But this year, this year I decided I was tired of my old novels and decided to give my brain a break by writing anything I wanted. Thanksgiving
As a wise man once said, “December was Christmas, January was New Year, April was Easter and The Fourth of July, but now it’s Thanksgiving.” (If you’re confused, go here. Don’t hate me too hard.) But seriously, Thanksgiving deserves mad respect. It’s smushed between Halloween and Christmas and gets almost none of the air time…except for turkey sales, Thanksgiving Day sales, Black Friday (ugh) and The Macy’s Parade (which is awesome ^_^). And why are there almost no decent Thanksgiving songs?! (See above paragraph for example.) Writer’s Conference Starts Tomorrow! {Thoughts}

Margaret Mitchell House
Since I’ve moved to the delightful city of Atlanta, I’ve discovered many fun places. The city’s made of them. You want the cute? Well, YOU CAN’T HANDLE THE CUTE! Seriously, she meows like a squeaky toy, gets high on catnip and rolls off her scratcher, fights furiously with one of her toys and then falls asleep. She is a non-stop photo opportunity, and she isn’t camera-shy! And in case you were curious, her name is Pangerbon, and I just got her last week. Reminiscing on MomoCon 2012
MOMOCON! Ohmigosh Momocon! I’ve worked it for two years now (my husband tons more), and it’s just getting better. I even got to join the media group, and entered some artwork that they used around the con! Shameless plug for my portfolio, but seriously, they were super fun to do. Shining sun, chilly morning Autumn came without a warning. Sweater matched with summer shoes Milk the last of summertime, who’s Steamy grip has finally slipped And let in autumn’s tingly nip. Things I Learned From British Folk Ballads
As a folk song nerd, you notice certain patterns you find throughout British Isles folksongs and folk tales.
